Shipping Policy

Last updated: April 18, 2026

Where We Ship

We ship to all 50 US states, US territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, USVI), and APO/FPO/DPO military addresses. We also ship internationally to most countries. International shipments may be subject to customs duties and import taxes, which are the buyer's responsibility.

Shipping Methods and Transit Times

Shipping costs and transit times are calculated at checkout based on your destination, package weight, and dimensions. We use USPS, UPS, and FedEx.

MethodTransit TimeTracking
USPS Ground Advantage2–5 business daysYes
USPS Priority Mail1–3 business daysYes
UPS Ground1–5 business daysYes
UPS 2-Day Air2 business daysYes
UPS Next Day Air1 business dayYes
FedEx Ground1–5 business daysYes
FedEx Express (2-Day / Overnight)1–2 business daysYes

Transit times are estimates from the ship date, not the order date. Add production time (2–5 business days standard, 1–2 days rush) to get total delivery time.

Free Shipping

We offer free USPS Ground Advantage shipping on domestic orders over $150 (before tax). This applies to the contiguous 48 states. Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories are eligible for discounted shipping but not free shipping.

Order Processing

  • Orders placed before 2:00 PM ET on a business day enter production the same day (after payment confirmation).
  • Orders placed after 2:00 PM ET or on weekends/holidays enter production the next business day.
  • You will receive an email with tracking information once your order ships. Tracking updates are also available in your dashboard if you have an account.

Packaging

Every order is individually packed to prevent damage in transit. Small parts are wrapped in anti-static foam and placed in rigid mailers. Larger parts are packed in corrugated boxes with foam inserts. SLA parts are wrapped in lint-free tissue to protect the surface finish. We do not skimp on packaging. If your part arrives damaged, that is on us (see our Return Policy).

International Shipping

  • International orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail International, UPS Worldwide, or FedEx International, depending on destination and package size.
  • Transit times for international orders range from 5–15 business days depending on the destination and customs processing.
  • Customs duties and import taxes are not included in our prices and are the buyer's responsibility. We declare the actual value of the goods on customs forms. We do not undervalue shipments.
  • Some countries may have import restrictions on certain plastics or manufactured goods. It is your responsibility to verify that your country allows the import of 3D printed parts.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance.

Shipping to P.O. Boxes

We can ship to P.O. Boxes via USPS only. UPS and FedEx require a street address. If you select UPS or FedEx shipping with a P.O. Box address, we will contact you to arrange an alternative address.

Lost or Delayed Packages

  • If your tracking shows "delivered" but you did not receive the package, contact us within 5 business days. We will file a claim with the carrier and either reship the order or issue a refund.
  • If tracking shows no movement for 7+ business days (domestic) or 21+ business days (international), contact us and we will investigate.
  • We are not responsible for packages stolen after confirmed delivery (carrier shows "delivered" with GPS confirmation). Consider using a secure delivery location or requiring a signature.

Address Accuracy

Please double-check your shipping address before placing your order. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, we will reship it at your expense (actual shipping cost only, no markup).

Large, Oversized, and Freight Shipments

For orders with large parts (over 12 inches in any dimension), high quantities (50+ parts), or total package weight above 70 lbs, shipping may require LTL freight or custom crating. We will contact you with a freight quote before processing.

  • Freight shipments are curbside delivery by default. Liftgate, inside delivery, residential delivery, and appointment scheduling are available surcharges.
  • You are responsible for inspecting freight at delivery. Note any visible damage on the carrier's bill of lading (BOL) before signing. Unnoted damage may not be recoverable from the carrier.
  • Freight claims must be initiated within 5 business days of delivery. Retain all packaging and damaged goods until the claim is resolved.

Carrier Liability Limits and Shipping Insurance

Once a package is in the carrier's custody, shipping is governed by that carrier's terms and liability limits. Standard carrier liability is limited by law and by each carrier's published tariff, typically no more than $100 per package for USPS, UPS, and FedEx ground service without additional declared value.

  • By default we declare the value of each shipment up to $100 (included). For shipments worth more than $100, you may request additional declared value coverage at checkout or by email; the surcharge is passed through at carrier cost.
  • For high-value orders (production tooling, master patterns, one-of-a-kind prototypes), we strongly recommend adding declared-value insurance up to the full replacement cost. 3D Services USA is not responsible for uninsured loss in transit beyond the carrier's base liability limit.
  • International shipments may have lower carrier liability caps and more restrictive claim windows. Review the carrier's international terms before shipping.
  • Claims for lost or carrier-damaged parcels are limited to the lesser of (a) actual manufacturing cost of the parts, (b) the declared value, or (c) the carrier's recovered claim amount. Consequential damages (lost profits, downstream production delays) are excluded. See our Terms and Conditions, Section 8.

Temperature-Sensitive and Moisture-Sensitive Materials

Some 3D printing materials are affected by heat or humidity in transit. You are responsible for choosing a material and shipping method appropriate for expected transit conditions.

  • PLA softens above ~60°C and can warp in hot mailboxes, car trunks, or closed porches during summer. Expedited shipping is recommended for PLA delivered to hot climates between May and September.
  • Nylon (PA12, PA6-CF) absorbs moisture and may arrive slightly hygroscopic. Re-dry before final assembly for dimensional stability in critical fits.
  • SLA resin parts are UV-sensitive and may continue to cure or yellow in direct sunlight during transit through glass-walled facilities. Keep sealed until installation.
  • We are not liable for material-typical thermal or environmental deformation that occurs after the carrier confirms delivery.

Restricted, Hazardous, and Export-Controlled Items

  • We do not ship finished goods that are classified as hazardous materials (HAZMAT / dangerous goods) under DOT, IATA, or IMDG regulations. Our finished parts are typically non-regulated inert polymers.
  • Certain 3D-printed items (including firearm components, parts subject to ITAR / EAR export controls, drone components, encryption hardware enclosures, and dual-use goods) may not be exported to restricted destinations or end-users listed on the U.S. Consolidated Screening List (OFAC SDN, BIS Entity List, Denied Persons List). We screen international orders and may refuse, cancel, or re-route shipments to comply with U.S. sanctions and export laws.
  • You certify that your order, destination, and end-use comply with all applicable export control regulations. You are responsible for obtaining any required export licenses or end-user certifications before we ship internationally.

Risk of Loss and Title Transfer

Title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier takes possession of the shipment (FOB Origin, Shipping Point), unless a different Incoterm is agreed in writing. After that moment, any loss, theft, or damage in transit is a matter between you and the carrier (subject to the declared-value and claim provisions above). We will assist with filing carrier claims in good faith, but we cannot guarantee recovery.
